| Users review: Another great film is given a bad name by reviewers who are trying to do us a favor (really? Like you shepherd, and the sheep were all here?). If you are going to read the review, here's one that speaks in all fairness, and without trying to glorify them it.Killing quiet modern multi-tale crime drama that follows what has become a mafia crime because weve seen what years of recession has done to America Post 9 / 11th It is a film that needs to settle in and watch and listen carefully, but it provides us with a narrative style very similar to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and classic Danny Boyle.It, also makes good use of some classical conventions and you may notice a little Mean Streets, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, chopper, Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting etc.When ex-convict Frank and his Australian heroin addict friend Russell is employed to keep the mob poker game in the preview the deadlock town, they get away with it, but causes the local economy to collapse and put the mob boss Markie Trattman (Ray Liotta) in frame.The Dons send mob enforcer Jackie (Brad Pitt) in the deal with it and to set an example, he methodically set about cleaning the reason fashion.That draw, plain and simple, but apart from that, Killing them softly movie is more of a dark, harsh reality of crime in modern American cities as the government virtually abandoned and it is the sheer desperation of some dead end type people.Unemployment, recession, drug abuse, violence, despair, poor health, intentional self-destruction and disgusting the way people look at each other with - it all adds to a stark reality. The only way the government has managed to destroy organized crime in the destruction of their country's economy. Desperate people will do anything to survive knowing that if they give, they are as good as dead. And that sets the tone for this film from start to end.Not surprising in retrospect, this film has no real characters, but universally supporting characters who serve the story to its bitter end, where they are treated to a recap of words between the two characters. This helps to give the feeling that no one is in any real significance for each other, that is exactly the nature of most of its characters.If you like your true crime movies, you will love this. Im so surprised how smooth it is and how easy it is to watch, despite how well acted and paced it. Dark, gritty, grimy, grubby, absurd, depressing and more bold with some good laughs! |
