| Users review: The Sound of Music film with interesting characters, top-notch direction and the script is really inspired by the genre of music that will stand above it. Julie Andrews (Oscar-nominated), a young nun who leaves the convent as a large family on to become a governess. The child's father (Christopher Plummer) is an immediate conflict, but soon fell in love and got married. But evil forces lurk overhead as the Nazis invade their homeland of Austria. Somewhat based on a true story, the musical The Sound of Music is one of these rare works, there is no fear, because the last act of the drama of the film. Thanks to this, it does not take away the musical numbers in the film believable and the direction of the story or the film. 5 of 5 stars |

In 1930 Austria, a young woman named Maria fails miserably in her attempts to become a nun. When the Navy captain Georg Von Trapp writes to the convent asking governess that can handle his seven mischievous children, Maria is given the job. The Captains wife died, and he is often away, and runs the household as he strictly the ships he sails on doing. The children are unhappy and resentful of the governesses that their father keeps hiring, and I managed to get each of them a run. When Maria arrives, she initially met with the same hostility, but her kindness, understanding and sense of fun soon draws them to her and brings some much-needed joy into their lives - including the Captain. Eventually he and Maria are in love, even though Georg is already engaged to a Baroness and Maria is still a postulant. The romantic makes them both start questioning the decisions they have made.
